Feathers McGraw’s idea of a chicken disguise was a red rubber glove pulled over his head. At breakfast, an actual egg now sits above the same deadpan black face. The hand-painted ceramic leaves his tiny eyes and bright orange beak completely unmoved by the arrangement.

The Chicken Disguise Comes Back at Breakfast

In The Wrong Trousers, Gromit discovers that the apparently ordinary lodger is really the criminal “chicken” from the wanted poster, with a red rubber glove providing the disguise. Here there is no heist to stop: just a boiled egg sitting neatly in the top of Feathers’ head. This time, breakfast supplies the headwear.

Toast Soldiers, Under Surveillance

The egg sits in the opening at the top of Feathers’ head, with toast soldiers alongside and the same blank stare fixed underneath. Wash the hand-painted ceramic gently by hand after use; it is not suitable for the dishwasher or microwave.

Keep an Eye on the Egg

Presented in a Wallace & Gromit branded box, the egg cup makes a particularly knowing present for someone who remembers exactly why Feathers once needed to look like a chicken. Pair him with the matching Wallace and Gromit egg cups and the full breakfast line-up can watch over the table together.
