Strawberry Thief becomes almost picture-like on a flat tray. In Raspberry, Morris's thrushes, strawberries, flowers and curling leaves spread across the birch-veneer surface in one lively field, so the eye can follow bird to berry and stem to flower from edge to edge. Rich raspberry red and pale cream turn the flat tray into a warm, high-contrast field of birds, berries and curling leaves.

Birds and berries across the table

The joy of Strawberry Thief lies in the way every element seems to lead somewhere else. A bird draws the eye towards a berry, a stem carries it into a flower, and the foliage folds everything back into the repeat. In Raspberry, warm colour gathers around the birds and fruit while the lively route from motif to motif remains unmistakably Strawberry Thief.

Artwork across the serving surface

Across the flat 20cm surface, thrushes, strawberries and curling foliage run from edge to edge in one lively sweep. A cup placed on the tray creates a simple meeting between the useful surface and the Strawberry Thief pattern.

Let the whole garden sit on the table

Here the birds and berries read almost like a small decorative panel, with Raspberry giving the garden a warm, confident presence. Left on a table or sideboard, the tray becomes part of the room as naturally as the things it carries.
