Paddington Bear has opened his umbrella, although the small rain cloud appears determined to follow; this single coaster gives the little downpour somewhere dry to wait beneath a cup.

Under a Very Small Cloud

Loose black lines show Paddington Bear in his blue duffle coat with an umbrella overhead and a suitcase at his side. A pale-blue lower panel gives the rain scene a clean horizon.

Loose black lines keep the umbrella, suitcase and small cloud light against the cream surface, with a pale-blue lower panel forming a dry-looking horizon beneath them. The red hat remains the brightest point, even though the weather appears to have selected Paddington Bear personally.

Shelter for the Next Cup

Set the coaster beneath a mug or glass on a desk, bedside table or coffee table. Paper artwork sits over MDF with cork on the reverse, giving the drink a dry place to pause even while Paddington Bear's small cloud continues its very personal downpour.

When the cup is lifted, the entire rainy scene returns from beneath it. The coaster can remain ready for the next drink in the same patient spirit as Paddington Bear beneath the umbrella: prepared, slightly damp-looking and determined not to make a fuss.

The Rain May Follow

Paddington Bear has remembered his umbrella and kept his suitcase close, which is as much preparation as the situation reasonably allows. The cloud may persist, but so does he—politely, patiently and without losing sight of wherever he was going.
