At baggage collection, the useful part of a luggage tag is recognition. Slytherin gives this one a familiar visual cue on the bag the owner is actually looking for.

Slytherin as the bag marker

Attached to suitable luggage, the house design makes the tag personally recognisable before its practical identification job is even considered.

Slytherin on the luggage tag

Recognition when the bag returns
