London's surprises do not always announce themselves. Sometimes they are waiting at a station, sometimes beside a red bus, and sometimes on the other side of a coin purse. This compact faux leather purse keeps loose change together while Paddington Bear supplies a two-part London observation.

Especially Bears

On the pale-blue front, London has produced one of its surprises. Paddington Bear stands beside a bright red bus beneath the words ‘London is full of surprises’, holding his hat carefully in front of him as though being the most unexpected thing on the street is simply a matter of good manners.

Turn the purse over and the cream reverse completes the observation: ‘... especially bears’, followed by a small blue paw print. The ending stays hidden until the purse is picked up and turned around, allowing Paddington Bear to remain the surprise for just a moment longer.

Small Things, Kept Together

Open the blue top zip and tuck loose change or other small everyday essentials inside. The purse slips neatly into a larger bag, or can be kept close at hand when only a few necessities are coming along.

A blue zip runs along the top, and a little woven red Paddington Bear tab peeps from the side. Between the pale-blue beginning and the cream-coloured punchline, there is another small detail waiting to be spotted each time the purse is picked up.

Especially Bears

The joke only completes when the purse is turned, allowing Paddington Bear to remain hidden at the end of the thought for a moment longer. Carried through ordinary errands, it preserves the cheerful possibility that London's next surprise may be waiting just out of sight.
