“Even the smallest person can change the course of the future.” Printed across a cream centre framed in dark green and gold, this square ceramic coaster keeps one of The Lord of the Rings’ quieter lines close to the tea or coffee break.

Small against a very large world

Middle-earth is full of towers, armies, mountains and impossible distances, yet the line says the future can still turn on someone small enough to be overlooked. The world can be enormous and the person who changes its course can still be very small.

Keep it where the mug usually goes

Use the ceramic square under a regular mug or glass on a desk, bedside table or coffee table. Leave it in the usual drink spot and the sentence stays there between uses, ready for the next tea, coffee or glass of water.

A quiet reminder worth keeping nearby

On a desk or reading table, the line can sit in the middle of an ordinary day without needing swords, maps or battle scenes around it. It is a gentle piece of Middle-earth for the moments when the quieter parts of the story are the ones you want to remember.
