Feathers first arrives at 62 West Wallaby Street as Wallace’s quiet new lodger. Gromit is suspicious long before Wallace catches on, and the wanted poster eventually supplies the answer: the criminal “chicken” is a penguin with a red rubber glove on his head. From there, the Techno Trousers, the museum heist and one of Aardman’s most perfectly deadpan villains do the rest.

This mug starts with that disguise intact. Feathers stands against the dark background with the red glove firmly in place, while “POLICE NOTICE”, “WANTED” and the £10,000 reward turn the other side into part of the search.

The Brew Changes the Evidence

Add tea, coffee or hot chocolate and the heat-change finish advances the story. The black surface gives way to an orange prison wall, Feathers appears behind bars and the reverse transforms into an Evening Lamp-Post report announcing that he is back inside. Feathers himself remains as unreadable as ever.
